Jim Bevilacqua was the founder of Bevilacqua Associates, a family-operated business since 1978 focused on client service and dedicated to helping individuals and businesses pursue their financial goals.
Jim was born and raised in Quincy, Massachusetts and received a degree in Business Management from Quincy College.
From 1968–1969, he served with the U.S. Army in the Republic of South Viet-Nam in the 164th Combat Aviation Group (helicopter unit). After receiving an honorable discharge, Jim joined Investors Diversified Services (IDS), which later became American Express Financial Advisors. At IDS, Jim honed his expertise at retirement, financial, estate, and educational planning and investment advisement.
In 1988, Jim made the move to LPL Financial, which he considered the best business decision he ever made. With the technology and resources available through LPL Financial —and with no propriety products or services—Bevilacqua Associates can concentrate on what they do best: helping clients pursue their financial dreams.
Jim retired from the securities industry in 2013. He enjoyed spending his winters in Naples, Florida, where he made some great friends and enjoyed it more than he ever imagined.
Jim’s pride in Bevilacqua Associates was rivaled only by the pride he had for his children, Joe and Joanna. He was also a doting grandfather to Nicky, Alexis, Arianna, Alyssa and Amanda. He was also known to play the occasional round of golf.
Dad passed away May 11, 2019 at his home in Naples. Dad started this business in 1978 from an office in our basement. After years of hard work, he built it into what it is today. He focused on doing what is best for the client. His philosophy was simple – “You can never go wrong doing the right thing - always keep your word, provide the best service possible and the business will be a success”. We miss him terribly, but his memory will stay with us forever. He was the wisest man I ever knew, and he taught me everything about this business. My goal is simple, to continue to make Dad proud every single day.
If I do that, the business cannot help but be successful.
